Terms for using Red Taxi websites, apps, and dispatch tools

These terms explain the basic rules for passengers, drivers, operators, and admins using Red Taxi to manage taxi bookings and fleet operations.

Last updated: 28 September 2026

Using Red Taxi

These terms apply to access to Red Taxi websites, operator dashboards, booking tools, the customer app, and the driver app. By using the platform, you agree to use it lawfully, keep account details secure, and provide accurate information when creating bookings, managing dispatch, or using driver workflows.

Taxi journeys are provided by the taxi operator or fleet handling the booking. Red Taxi provides the software platform used to manage bookings, driver allocation, communications, payments, and operational records.

Passenger and customer responsibilities

Customers and passengers must provide accurate pickup, destination, contact, and payment information where required. Booking notes should only include information relevant to the journey.

Fares, cancellation rules, waiting time, refunds, and service availability may be set by the taxi operator. The operator may contact you by app notification, SMS, phone, or email about your booking.

Driver app responsibilities

Drivers must use the driver app only for authorised fleet work, keep login details secure, and follow the taxi operator policies that apply to job offers, availability, passenger communication, journey status, payments, and safety.

The driver app may process availability, job status, push notification tokens, device information, accepted or rejected offers, earnings or statement information, and location or movement data needed for dispatch operations.

Operator responsibilities

Operators are responsible for configuring their company profile, fares, users, drivers, vehicles, messaging providers, booking rules, payment settings, and any customer-facing statements accurately.

Operators must ensure they have the right permissions, licences, notices, and lawful basis to use Red Taxi for their staff, drivers, customers, and passengers.

Accounts and access

You must not share accounts, attempt to bypass access controls, interfere with the platform, scrape data, upload malicious content, or use Red Taxi in a way that harms other users, tenants, drivers, passengers, or systems.

Access may be suspended or restricted where needed for security, misuse prevention, non-payment, legal compliance, or platform stability.

Payments, plans, and availability

Paid Red Taxi plans, trial periods, add-ons, billing cycles, and limits are shown during sign-up or in the operator account area. Taxes, payment provider charges, or operator-specific taxi charges may apply where relevant.

We aim to keep the platform reliable, but service availability can be affected by maintenance, third-party providers, networks, device settings, payment systems, app stores, or events outside our control.

Intellectual property

Red Taxi software, branding, content, design, and platform materials are owned by Red Taxi or its licensors. Users may not copy, reverse engineer, resell, or create competing services from the platform except where a written agreement permits it.

Liability

Red Taxi is provided as taxi dispatch and operations software. Taxi operators remain responsible for the transport services they provide, their drivers, regulatory obligations, pricing decisions, customer service, and operational conduct.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot legally be limited. Otherwise, Red Taxi is not responsible for indirect losses, lost profits, third-party service failures, inaccurate information entered by users, or transport service issues controlled by the taxi operator.

Changes and contact

We may update these terms as the platform, apps, or legal requirements change. The updated version will be published on this page with a new date.

For questions about these terms, contact support@redtaxi.co.uk. For a specific booking or journey issue, contact the taxi operator handling that booking first.
